Behind the Lens: Wedding Photography Experience in Nepal 📸

Hey everyone! Come with me on my first-ever journey as a wedding videographer in Nepal. I'm sharing all the raw, unfiltered moments—the good, the bad, and the unexpected—of what it's like to capture one of the most important days in a couple's life. From shopping for gear to battling technical glitches and even a nasty cold, here's the full story.

The Big Preparations 🛒

The journey started with a massive shopping trip. I had to make sure I had all the basic requirements for a successful shoot. We're talking about everything from a gimbal and light stand to extra memory cards. Despite the shops being "very expensive," as I mentioned in the video, getting the right equipment was non-negotiable. I spent a lot of time planning and double-checking my list, making sure I was as prepared as possible for the big day. We also got the all-important light planning and discussion done, which was a huge relief!

Technical Troubles & Unexpected Problems 😬

Just as we thought we were ready, a big problem surfaced. The camera's settings were a mess, and I was really struggling to fix it. On top of that, the camera's battery was a huge issue. I had two batteries, and both were dead! To make matters worse, the one fully charged battery I had was accidentally left in the bus! It was a frustrating moment, and I felt like I was really "bad at this moment." It was a great lesson in learning to expect the unexpected and always having a backup plan.

Battling a Cold on the Big Day 🤧

To top it all off, I woke up on the wedding day feeling terrible. I was suffering from a cold and cough, my nose was blocked, and I felt a constant cough coming on. Despite feeling unwell, I knew I had to get the job done. With the support of my team, especially my friend who is a photographer and was handling a lot of the stress, I pushed through. I had to stay focused and professional, capturing the beautiful moments of the wedding.

The Wedding & The Takeaway ✨

The wedding itself was a beautiful experience. We were in Subropolan, and the ceremony was happening up high, giving us some amazing shots. I've always seen wedding videographers and photographers as an important part of the celebration, like a "family member." Capturing the happy moments, the dancing, and the love felt incredible.

This was a challenging but rewarding experience. I learned so much about the importance of being prepared, handling stress, and pushing through when things get tough. I also learned that it's okay to make mistakes; what matters is how you handle them.

Thank you for watching my journey. I hope you enjoyed it! It was my first time, and I experienced a lot of things. This is me signing off. Thank you once again for watching, and don't forget to celebrate your life! 👋
